I love choosing a Word of the Year. Sure beats the old style New Year's Resolutions, at least for me. Interesting how long it takes to kick in, though
I love choosing a Word for the Year instead of setting New Year's Resolutions.
I can assure you my resolutions would've been gone by the second week of January.
That said, the Word of the Year strategy has its issues, too.
For me, the chosen word seems to take a few months to kick in.
My word for 2023 -- Expand/Expansion.
Yet, so far in 2023, I've ...
🫣 been sick for over 2 weeks
🫣 dealt with my brother's surgery & subsequent illness
🫣 dealt more with my aged aunt and her money issues
🫣 grieved the loss of a dear friend
None of that sounds expansive, does it?
It also seems to have taken longer for the word of the year to switch on. I mean, it's May now.
Finally, though ...
💃 I'm healthy
💃 I'm dancing again
💃 I've been to Disney nearly 10 times already this year
💃 this group has topped 300 (WOO-HOO!)
💃 my finances grew, even when I wasn't paying close attention
💃 my aged aunt's mind is clearer (Go figure) & she has discovered the truth about one she was trusting
💃 my brother seems to be on the mend
Yes. The expansion has begun and I'm ready to share the joy.
Did you choose a Word of the Year? What was it and how's it going?
If you didn't, do it now. If you're not sure how to, schedule a call today & let's talk about it.
